Ordering

  • First, order a sample. Colors on your monitor may differ from the actual product, plus it really helps to see it in your space. When you are ready to move ahead, email to let us know which pattern/color you want and how many sheets you need. We will email you an electronic invoice. You can pay us electronically or mail us a check. Once we receive payment in full, we will get to work on your beautiful handpainted wallpaper.

  • Your installer will be able to most accurately assess how much product you need. Alternatively, you can contact us for help or you can get a rough estimate with our calculator.

  • Rush ordering is available based on our current production calendar. Rush fees will apply.

  • Cancellations of orders are allowable within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Bespoke orders and rush orders may not be canceled once we receive payment.

  • Our wallpaper is water resistant and durable. It can be lightly wiped and spot cleaned. It is not oil-resistant (so we wouldn’t recommend it behind a stove in a kitchen). But it is fine for a powder room.

However, if enhanced durability is needed – for instance in a humid bathroom or a commercial space – we have some recommended options for additional treatments.

Shipping and Returns

  • We generally ship with FedEx or UPS. Your shipping fees will be included on your invoice.

  • We can ship internationally, but please contact us for more information.

  • Because our goods are made to order, with a substantial investment in time and materials, we do not generally accept returns. But our customers are important to us, so if you find that for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us so we can find a solution.

If you receive a damaged package, please contact us right away, so we can take the necessary next steps with the shipping company.

Please note that each sheet is a unique work of art, having subtle shadings, print variations, and other irregularities inherent to the handmade process, and some variance from your sample should be expected. We consider these irregularities to be highly desirable and are part of the beauty of our handcrafted products. They are not considered defects.

More Information

  • All of our papers are made to order, so waste is minimized by not carrying inventory. We also work to keep our waste-water to a minimum - in a busy week, it might be 3-5 gallons - and we treat it to remove almost all paint solids before disposal. We’re always looking for other ways to be more sustainable too, including ordering our supplies from local companies and reusing everything we can.

  • Centuries ago, before it was even possible to manufacture rolls of paper, wallpaper began as handcrafted single sheets, sometimes referred to as “dominos.” We’ve embraced this format because it provides enormous flexibility for a modern install – layout options for sheet wallpaper abound, much like tiles. And the “sheet” format has the added benefit over rolls of minimizing waste, as there’s no pattern to match, and you can order the exact quantity needed, resulting in less discarded material.
